Pay less attention to your competition


Having met a dozen new businesses in December and more already this month I still get the same point given to me by new businesses or businesses struggling, on three separate occasions I have been told "my competitors are doing so well"

The only reason why these businesses think this is because of social media, their direct competition have stated they are fully booked or working with a massive client or they have experience a record month or week whatever.

My advice is to always take this with a pinch of salt, the beauty with social media is we can create our own story, so fully booked may mean they have had some extra bookings recently, the same as if someone announces they have worked with a big clients they may have worked with them indirectly.

Spend more time worrying about your own business and projects, this has served me well in business from the very start.
