We mentioned in our last blog about changes to Facebook pages and their reviews and recommendations, they have also changes how they rank pages in their nifty little feature of "Pages to Watch"
The way that facebook previously ranked pages on here were by number of page likes, this was so frustrating for social media managers like myself who would always inform clients that number of likes isn't a vital stat only for Facebook to throw it back at us and rank pages by that number.
Well now it seems that has changed and facebook is now ranking them by engagement, total engagement it seems as well as other factors, at a guess these factors would be response time, reviews and recommendations and quality of content.
We spoke to Facebook last week but they couldn't comment on the exact formula of the ranking system but mentioned that engagement is a large factor but not the only factor. Interesting!
