New Creator Studio for Facebook

If you're like me and manage over two dozen pages for businesses and brands then you know the importance of keeping everything in one easy place to see insights and notifications. For Instagram and Twitter accounts I use Buffer but Facebook I have always used the business manager tool. Now Facebook is giving us the Creator Studio, perfect for social media managers of multiple pages, it keeps all your valuable content in one place to see and measure. The tool allows you to see

More changes to Facebook pages

We mentioned in our last blog about changes to Facebook pages and their reviews and recommendations, they have also changes how they rank pages in their nifty little feature of "Pages to Watch" The way that facebook previously ranked pages on here were by number of page likes, this was so frustrating for social media managers like myself who would always inform clients that number of likes isn't a vital stat only for Facebook to throw it back at us and rank pages by that numb

So you think you know Facebook

We manage dozens of Facebook business pages, we mange advertising spend, creative and delivery for many others and create content for business in Aberystwyth, Cardiff and all over Wales and the UK. We think we know Facebook quite well. You're on Facebook right? You have a business so you have a Facebook business page right? There are billions of Facebook users, millions of Facebook pages but still only 24 hours in a day and there's only so much content a human being can consu

What now for your Facebook page?

We have been flooded with questions regarding the new change to Facebook and what it means for Facebook pages, the businesses that run them and fellow Social Media managers. Social media managers are going to spend a lot less time focusing on their Facebook Business Page this year, instead building communities via Facebook Groups and focusing everything on engagement. The news last week doesn't mean we are all jumping the Facebook ship, just steering the ship differently. Wha

New Canvas ads for Facebook

Facebook changes all the time, believe me it's a good thing and it is improving the way you can advertise your small business to the masses. Facebook announced that it is enhancing its collections ad format to help drive sales by adding a new lifestyle template that will help advertisers inspire product discovery through their ads. We manage a number of business accounts on Facebook for our clients and we always encourage the use of ads, not just the basic boost post, but a w

Cover yourself in 360

Facebook has been all over 360 images and video for some time now, offering a perfect platform to upload and share immersive 360 content for businesses and end users since the middle of 2016. Previously 360 images were taken outside the app and then uploaded, now you can shoot 360 straight from the phone, head to your status update and select the 360 photo option, a camera box will open and allow you to capture an image. If you have used the panaramic mode on iPhone this will

Top 10 Reasons for Using Social Media

GlobalWebIndex’s latest social media usage report shows that more than 40% of people use social media platforms to keep in touch with friends, making this the top reason for social media use globally. Among 16 to 24 year-olds, the key reason for using social media is not to keep in touch, but rather to fill spare time (too much spare time obviously) while among 25 to 34 year-olds, staying in touch with friends proves more important. (if you plan or run events, Facebook is the

A week of social media changes

Marketing changes all the time, we discuss this with our clients in Cardiff and Aberystwyth all the time; nothing changes much quicker than Social Media. This week along there have been updates and changes to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and YouTube as well as announcements for iOS 11 coming in September. FACEBOOK Facebook has finally added a dedicated GIF button to comments. All users on Facebook can now use the new GIF comment button that the platform started test

Reactions for comments on Facebook

Have you liked someones comment today and then been asked if you want to love that comment?? Emotions and reactions, they're everywhere..❤️😆😡😳 after posts and Messenger, reactions have now made their way to our comments. Reactions have overall been very successful in allowing users to express more emotions. A reaction can say so much more than just a like.. plus Facebook is now measuring what you 'love' more than what you just 'like' so this was an obvious next step. Afte

Now you can buy your tickets on Facebook

We wrote a blog some months back about Facebook is beginning to keep you in the app longer with it's cool new features like ordering food, we now you can sell your tickets there too. If like us you’re promoting your event on Facebook in countless ways, inviting friends, sharing the event on your page and even sponsoring the post, but you’re not converting enough “invites” and “shares” into ticket sales. What can you do? The most obvious answer is to promote and sell the event

Facebook for business tips

The biggest thing that most businesses who we speak to in Aberystwyth and Cardiff miss out on when using Social Media is they don't do any listening... they just broadcast and talk to themselves!! How rude, how would you act in a room full of people, would you just talk about yourself? Start talking TO people not AT people on social media. Post on other pages posts, be thoughtful not just "great post" or "like my page" talk to them about their industry or their location... an

Can you hear that video?

Do you use Facebook video on your page? Does it rely on sound? Most of the time we are viewing videos with no sound, perfect when you’re in work (naughty) or when you’re in bed and the other half is asleep. So there’s no surprise that when a video plays with sound most react negatively and move away from the post. So a video with no sound works better, but how do you convey a message in mute? Through captions of course! You could always import an SRT (subRip) file to do this,

You can now order food from restaurants directly from their Facebook Pages

Hungry? Ordering food on your phone? we've been doing it for a while now and it's a common sight in Cardiff to see a deliveroo bike speed past with a hot pizza on board. But now we can do this as well as book an appointment and more in a recent Facebook update. It looks like we'll nearly never have to leave the Facebook app. But will this leave less emphasis on a mobile friendly website or businesses with their own personal app?
