3 Extra Top Twitter Tips

Last week we gave you 5 basic tips for twitter, well now that you’ve added a great image to your profile, started using GIFS and videos it’s time to up your game again.

  1. Sharing is caring, share other tweets that are relevant to you or your business, share articles, news stories, blogs and anything else that appears on your timeline that you think is worth sharing. The more you share, the better chance you have of your content being shared too. So go on, be kind and share some tweets (tag us in if you like @nuts_about_).

  2. Using lists, we all use them for a number of things and twitter is no different. Over 2 billion search queries are pushed through twitter daily and as well the basic search function; have you tried the advanced search? It allows you to tailor search results to specific date ranges, people and more, this makes it easier to find specific Tweets. Search for possible clients, search your company name and where it has been mentioned and this can be location based or worldwide. By combining fields in advanced search, you can tailor your search results in a powerful way. For example, you can search for Tweets containing “New Years” but excluding “Resolution” between December 30, 2013 and January 2, 2014. Or you can search for Tweets in English with the hashtag “#WorldCup” sent from Brazil in July 2014.

  3. Twitter analytics, go and take a look at the info you have available for your twitter page. View analytics on your tweets, your audience, profile views, tweet impressions and so on. Look at when people are engaging with and plan your future tweets around this info along could help boost your tweet impressions.
