Come closer and let's talk website secrets.
1. You need your own domain and hosting Invest in a serious website not a cheap blogging site that Google won’t take you seriously. Also do not point visitors to it, if it's not considered trustworthy. 2. Use original content Remember that Google’s whole purpose is to provide their customers with relevant and useful search results. The most important think you can do for your SEO (search engine optimisation) is create massively useful content that solves people’s problems. If you are solving problems that people are searching for then it is likely that you are going to get shared on social media and ranked in Google. By original content we mean:
Videos – make tutorials or video posts with a webcam. Build links and traffic from Youtube.
3. Build relevant backlinks A backlink is when another website links back to your site from their site. Some things to know however: Never buy them – Google is on to them. The source matters – One good link from an authority domain name (.edu or .gov ones are amazing) and your rankings will improve. The anchor text matters – these are the words that are used as the link. For example, if I use “Red Squirrel” as the anchor text – it’s a relevant targeted, linked keyword. 4. Build your social media profile big style Google is now looking to social media as a signal of articles having authority and relevance. Some things you need to start doing:
Tweeting big players
Share content from other blogs.
Take a look at Neil Patel who’s just written a really cool list about how to use Twitter like a boss. Google+ is now a huge factor in SEO ranking.
