A brand uplift for the Champions League

The UEFA Champions League may look slightly different next season, but only slightly after a small but effective tweak to the logo, typeface and design elements.

According to UEFA, the branding has been designed to be more flexible, while building on established elements such as the anthem, the stadium and the trophy, with the connected stars from the 'starball' in the competition’s logo at the centrepiece.

Guy-Laurent Epstein, marketing director of Uefa events, said: "The Uefa Champions League is a globally recognised brand in football, sports and entertainment. This brand refresh maximises the opportunities to engage with fans and stakeholders across new technologies and platforms."

We love the subtle new changes and look forward to seeing them up close in next years competition.
